:) Thank you!! I'm sorry this reply is so late ... I was out of town for most of the month! Hehe, did you guess me right?
But thank you very much for the kind compliment. And yeah, that's the thing I love about Hikaru and Akira ... it never will stop, between them -- their ties are stronger than most anything.
Hee hee, yeah, I got it. I saw the "-end" there, and went "OMG, I know this formatting/style!" Odd thing to notice, I know, but I decided to go hunt down the person, and finally ended up finding one of your fics. ^^ But I haven't had much experience with the HnG fandom (with real names, rather than the blind_go rounds, at least), so I didn't try to guess. I only had you and aishuu on my list of guesses... and I only got you right. ^^
They are totally cute and made for each other. Hee hee, Sometimes, Akira is right, when he guesses.
Oh! And this part: "You changed how I played. And I changed you. And that's always going to be a part of this, of us. But it's a longer road, and it just doesn't end with me and you." There, Akira laid the final stone.
I seriously heard the "pa-chink" of the stone in my head... maybe I've been playing go/reading HnG too much, but it was kinda cool. :D
I've always wondered about this, too, and you've written it in a very beautiful way. The idea that one of them will outgrow the other (most noticeably Shindou) is sad, sad, but it's probable and you've done it really well.
*blush* Thank you very much! I always wondered what would happen if one of them finally become stronger than the other, and I hoped it wouldn't be a sad thing -- instead, they grow together in other ways, I guess.
I really appreciate the compliments though. *G* Thank you!
The whole "rivals" construct has been bugging me a for a while now--its risk of limiting/constraining the characters. But your fic shows a great way they can evolve from that point.
As always, your comments are awesome. Hehehe, I was trying to see if I could go in a way that hasn't been done a million times, but I'm hoping that I made it work ... I'm glad it did for you. *G*
It really does help that you like it. I was really worried this piece was showing me off my game. *Shrug* :)
oh wow .. that could be considered a heartbreak moment when Hikaru discovered he has passed Touya, but I love you for showing that their relationship could evolve in a new way now
I was kinda sad when I realize the whole idea for the fic -- and I wasn't sure the fandom wouldn't toss me out on my rump for writing this. But yeah, I think wherever they go, no matter who gets better or worse in igo, Hikaru and Akira will have each other ... they'll find a way. Igo is only one part of their relationship, though it's a huuuuuuuge part.
Thanks for the comment though. *HUG HUG HUG* I'm really thrilled you liked the fic!
Your insights into the problem with "eternal" in the idea of eternal rivals are beautifully voiced. I love the imagery of earth shattering conversation taking place in the quiet beyond the crowded bar, and how end and beginning are blended throughout the story. Your use of mirroring in the last section is particularly deft, and rounded it all out nicely. Thank you so much for sharing this. XD
*Blush* Thanks. Oh wow, really, thank you for the awesome comment ... I'm so sorry it took so long to get back to you. I was on vacation for almost the entire month.
It really makes me go "omg, wow" when I got a comment like this because it really makes me feel like I did write something cool and neat, especially when you point out details in the story, and I'm like "I did that?!". So really, thank you on an awesome review as well. It means very much, that you took the time to do so.

I love the lines about endless things. Because some things really never do end.
*sudden realization* I think I recognize your style... *racks brain* Hmmm...
