This is adorable! Especially the line "kill him until he's dead." Envisioning that coming from our Isumi-san is just <3<3 lots of love!
I'm a little confused by one thing: did you intend the repeated "qing" to mean the same as it would have in English? Because if you say "qing" in Chinese without a request following, it's usually used when you're inviting someone to step through the door ahead of you, or holding a chair out and inviting them to sit, etc.
To get a more pleading, semi-coherent effect, maybe something like "qiu qiu ni" would work better? I don't profess to be an expert on bedroom Chinese though :)
Surely, Isumi should take that as a sign that he's been hanging around Waya and Hikaru too much. :D
*blushes furiously* Thanks for pointing that out. That was a mistake on my part- I asked my mother (er, minus the context because-- awkward) and she told me "qing". I looked around on google and thought it was right and I checked with a couple of my friends on my flist but I think the context was sort of vital and hence my error. I'll correct it on my final draft and I think I'll remember not to make the same mistake again. XD
Aaaaawe, thank you so much for this fic!!! *bows*. This is great, though I too think Yang Hai has already been in Tokyo... but whatever, it really is a nice piece! thanks for sharing ♥~!!!
Aww, I'm glad you liked it so much! Haha-- yeah, I was dumb. I hadn't watched the Hokuto Cup for over year and I didn't remember. I'm going to make an excuse on Yang Hai's part and say that he didn't get to *see* Tokyo on his previous visit because it was strictly Go-related.... or something.
Damn good fic, and fun too. =D but as someone mentioned above, there are a few variations of 'please' in chinese. Qing isn't really suitable here, and draws me out of the fic a little.
Qing is used as said above, and also in a sentence when you're inviting someone to do something, like, please wait for a little while, this way please, etc.
For the begging type of please, 'qiu qiu ni' and 'bai tuo' would be more appropriate. ;) (egads, I'm teaching pornish chinese... -.-''')
*blushes* I'm mortified by that mistake. XD I speak Cantonese and while writing this fic it occurred to me that while I know how to say "thank you" in Mandarin, I never knew how to say "please". *fails*
I suppose asking my mother how one would say "please" in a begging fashion after one's lover is giving them a handjob of a lifetime would prove to be awkward to say the least.
I'll rectify my mistake for the final. Thank you!
(It's better than having me download Chinese porn and finding out that way, right? :D So, you did society and me young, highly impressionable mind a favor.)
