I enjoyed that moment when it was obvious there was going to be some twist to canon and then there was the delicious anticipation... and the previous commenter is right, it really does set the mind spinning, what would have happened with this one alteration??

Very interesting idea. I would love to see where this would go, what would change and what would be different. I kind of suspect Hikaru would've ended up as another Torajirou, with Kouyo as the rival and not Akira- of course with consequences for everyone- but that's just me.
