...I would comment on the story itself, but it's hard to concentrate over my sudden and utterly overwhelming desire for cake. Never seen quite such lovingly detailed and mouth-watering descriptions of cake before. BRB, getting something sweet and delectable. ♥

And now that I've had my cake fix, let me just say that I think you've got everyone's voices down pat; everythings seems very IC. And I like the switching between the present moment (with lots of details) and glimpses into the past, describing how she got there. Once the revelations happen, I look forward to reading more of your stuff!

And although it's not really needed - everything is neatly tucked into this lovely little story already - I'd like to read more. Possibly Shigeko's cakes are making me greedy. :)

The last line made me burst out laughing. Very nice look at a minor character--her motivations, her likes and dislikes... so there was an ulterior motive to all those celebrations! ^_^

sooo late in replying, sorry, but...

this is delightful. ^_^ one of the best Shigeko fics i've ever read, and one of the best interpretations of her zeal for her treat outings, hee. she def def rules over her dad's study group just like he does!
