The GFFA must have been awash with gossip about the chancellor and his -ah- protegé. Thanks for recognising this in your writing.

The setup with Luke's being spririted back in time worked surprisingly well. His bafflement is totally believable and his final reaction is very much in character. I mean, he never was the most articulate of men. And not the brightest.

It's a great scene, I could just imagine what it looked like. The two of them dancing, in the middle of all those politicians! Must have been quite the gossip, the day after.

Oh, you came back to save Palpakin from the spinning oblivion of forgetful darkness!

although her clothing was much more decadent than Leia’s ever was.

This line was actually... very amusing. The sort of thoughts Luke would have if he knew how his mother dressed.

Very nice fic. I managed to recall Anakin's childishness -- as if it could be forgotten, you'd wonder, but yes, it can consciously be -- very well in the way you described it.
