Title: Traces of Someone's Possessiveness (Shiranai Dareka no Shoyuukon)
Circle: bairin
Pairing: KagaKise, OCKise
Rating: NC-17
Pages: 70 (yeah...don't even talk to me about this...the number just proves I'm crazy)
Notes: bairin's loooooong work. I don't think it's a sequel to any of her books before (like "Zannenssu Kedo"). This basically tells how down in the dumps Kise was before Kagami came along~
What I'm kind of surprised at is, Kise's backstory here is a little similar to Kise's backstory in "Under Your Light is the Reason I'm Here (Kimi to Iu Hikari no Shita ni Ore ga Iru Riyuu)" by Radistar. Though the pairings are different...
I almost feel, though, that Kise's lack of crying in Radistar's is more evocative than this one, though. In this one, Kise cries after he confesses everything to Kagami about how he's being used by random men. Kagami's straightforward disregard for Kise's self-loathing, however, makes up for Kise's weak spirit here. And again Kagami's heart bears his partner's soul out of the darkness...though truthfully, I don't think Kise is weak at all. Even if this was actually canon, I believe Kise would find a way to deal with it, to package it up or let the stress out somehow. Though Japanese people just looooove to hold and hide emotions inside until they can't stand it anymore and it all overflows...>.>;;; (totally opposite of me)
The last part in the book is actually done by Eternal Crown, who usually draws AoKise (I think). Her art is...normal shininess...and the plot not really much to speak of. Compared to bairin's simpler, chunkier characters, I still feel bairin wins. Both flow and story are better, not to mention bairin has a distinct style that instantly makes me think, "Oh yeah, that's definitely bairin."
