Notes: so this is by the same person who did " Lights of August", and even funnier than the last one.
Though her art isn't the so-perfect-I-wanna-cry kind, there's something about Koukon Logic that I really like. Maybe it's because her art feels so honest. There's no frills and no fancy-shmancy eyes or hands or grace in movement. She tells the story really bluntly, and in the process, renders it appealing in its own way. Not that her art is bad! It has very clean lines and tones. She never overwhelms people with stylistic elements. She uses a variety of poses, angles, and movement to draw people in.
And of course her characterization is spot on. I love the way she portrayed Touou's people along with Kuroko, Aomine and Kagami. Aomine is sick and can't make it to his usual practice game with Kagami and Kuroko, and instead collapses in front of Imayoshi. Imayoshi invites Kuroko and Kagami to 'watch over Aomine', in which Kagami does all the watching and Kuroko listens next door with a stethoscope. It's all very hilarious :D
