Notes: somebody on my tumblr dash had read this and said it was one of the best AoKagas she ever read. I concur.
So...it seems oniyuri's KiseAo stuff always seems to be smutty, but her emotional!doujinshi (as far as I can tell) are all AoKaga, including the surfing one, this one, and even Amaoto Spiral, which was smexy but also very emotionally charged.
This one...only has a bit of kissing and that's it. It deals with loneliness (hooooooh boy that's a giant neon motif for me) and isolation, and basically all the things you feel when you live alone. AND when someone's like me (living alone), it tends to hit me pretty hard, which it did. It doesn't help that the whispering page really does remind me of Japanese people and what they say about me ("Haha, must be so lonely" and stuff like that). Thus that made this a very...personal kind of journey too (though I have no hawt, tanned basketball player to ask me "Hey, so what kind of 'like' are you talking about?" and kiss me senseless...more's the pity).
Uhh, I pretty much don't think there's anything in art I haven't said before - she's good with backgrounds, though *sometimes* I do feel her necks are off for some reason? - and her flow and pace are all very good.
