on the Morris.  Nothing too difficult, a few trivial fixes, couple of bits of welding, and more attention to the brakes to try to reduce the pedal/handbrake travel.  I have that problem with Edward the Series III (Landie, not Morris) - comes from being old-fashioned non-servo drum brake system, if it's not all adjusted right, you don't get good ( Read more... )

Started making it, but I find that I don't have a complete Bendix assembly to look at, in particular, I don't have the fat washer which goes on after the spring and has a groove for the circlip.  I need the O/D of that washer, if anyone has one to hand and can measure it.  I recall it being slightly smaller than the spring, so the plate which is ( Read more... )

Done the front brakes, now working although a bit juddery, doubtless due to rusty drums, which will hopefully clean themselves up with use.  Rear brakes not really working, so that's the next thing to look at ( Read more... )

lights and indicators (and trafficators!) working, fixed throttle cable and clutch linkage but got the latter adjusted wrong, got and fitted correct wipers, got and fitted battery.  It now starts and runs and still needs the brakes freeing, that could happen tomorrow if the weather's dry.  Hopefully, a document will be forthcoming in due course, ( Read more... )
