AMAZING. Just what I needed right now. God, have been SG-1 from start to finish the last few months, and just got to end of season 7... *sniff* So this was just what I needed. heh. Perfectly angsty as always. *grin*
I love how you've broken it up into the years, and the way you manage to tie it so well into the actual episode (Why *didn't* Janet come back through? Your solution fits so well.) You Cassie characterisation also cracks me up.
An awesome read as always hon.

I was quite surprised by their breakup. As much as I enjoy this story I was wondering why you wrote it that way. I thought nothing could break them up. But then the fact that they wasted so much time apart made it even more tragic at the end.
Thanks goes to Isabellesmuse for the Rec. : )

I wrote them in what I considered was a realistic relationship -- not every couple rides off into the sunset and gets to live happily ever after. Heh.

Bwah.
"The two of you did too good a job fucking each other up over the years. Didn't need my help after all."
Such a poignant description of their relationship...I do so like how you haven't made them just omg-perfect-and-happy for all of those years.
they have all proved, time and again over the years, that they're incapable of happily-ever-afters
*sigh* Absolutely gorgeous, hon--you have such a way with angst, and this fits perfectly within "2010." I'll never watch that episode in quite the same way again. :)
