Lemme know how it goes! The soaking/boiling part is the lengthiest bit but fortunately it doesn't require any ... intent attention. You can just start it before you know you'll be hungry and go about normal daily stuff.

I think a potluck among most of my online friends would be fantastic. It is weird that most of the people I've befriended over the last few years are fond of, and rather good at, cooking. O_o

It is! Though I don't have yogurt today so it's not as absolutely delicious as it could be :(

Lainy I think I shall make this tomorrow. Thank you! And because I am not cooking savvy: could I use a mortar and pestle to grind up the bay leaves so that I don't have to remove them later? Will this over kill the flavor?

Oh yes, I did call you lainy. Now there's a faux pas the size of my face D:
Brain = non-functioning tonight, I'm sorry!

It's probably best to not eat the bay leaves, but as long as you use big ones, once you stir things up they're easy to find and take out with a spatula. Just use one or two so you don't have to go hunting. Same with the cinnamon sticks.

The curry I made called for whole cardamom pods (they're the size of raisins) but you had to pull those out later... THAT was hard :( and usually unsuccessful. They make your mouth go numb if you chew them!
