I love these little exchanges. A slice of reality can cut deep. It sort of makes you wonder how these guys are going to react after they realize that Jack has gone absolutely off the wall. Or if they're even going to live through it.
I don't think anyone is well-enough aware of how much damage has been inflicted upon his psyche. People don't understand how close he is to the edge, how close he is to making the decision to go over it.
I'm remaining mum on who lives and who dies. :-D But there will be character deaths.
My rule of thumb is usually to kill whoever is nearest and dearest and most unlikely. It's probably a dramatic cop out, but I love it when people go "I can't believe you did that!"
