Don't you hate it when you're all ready to take out some pent-up frustration on an uncooperative customer service representative, and then you call, and you're not even put on hold long enough to get indignant about it, and the person who answers is a decent human being who actually gives you what you want without a fight?

no kidding. customer service is not a punching bag for "your" (relative terminology encompassing anyone using it, not just Jordan) life.

Eesh. When did everyone on my friends list lose their senses of humor?

I am 110% polite and acquiescent when CSRs treat me like a human being (and I hope my friends would assume as much). But when a CSR treats me like anything less, they should expect the same from me.

This post was intended to be an ironic take on how I called up a large unfriendly corporation expecting the experience to be like pulling teeth, and pleasantly found exactly the opposite. Since apparently it doesn't go without saying: Because I was treated like a human being-which is very much not the norm in these situations-I was exceedingly gracious to the woman who helped me.
