Daffodils Why?!

Well, balls.

All I wanted was to send my mother a bouquet of daffodils for Mother's Day next week.  I even, in an unprecedented move, called the florist two weeks ago to see if this was possible, and I QUOTE, they said, "Call us back a week in advance so we can get the order in time to our wholesaler."  So.  I set a meeting notice to remind myself,

Get thee to a Michaels store, and buy thy mom the indestructible replicas thereof.

Because, yeah, daffodils are out of season over here in the frozen surprisingly mild north, let alone down there.

Gah! I think I might have said to the florist "On what f*cking planet are tulips even remotely similar to daffodils? There's obviously some reason why I specifically requested that flower over the 900 other types of yellow flowers." Yea, I get that they are out of season (here, the bloomed out almost a month ago) but, any florist with half a brain would know that if they had already had their peak for the season, there would be no chance of getting fresh blooms within a week. I agree with Avery... buy you mom the indestructible variety. The sentiment would still be the same and she might get a bigger laugh out of it, considering she can't mow them down.

they should have told you when you first called that they are/would be out of season. dopes. i agree about the fake ones, too. and if she snarks because you sent her fake ones, well, then, so much the better, right? ;D
