I know exactly what you mean. [campus] sits atop a cliff. My building is on the westernmost part of campus, and the cliff is a 5 minute walk from my office. Heck, my building has an ocean view! However, I am on the 1st floor. Booo. The rain's hitting us later today. I'm really hoping it waits until I've had the chance to run the dogs into exhaustion with the laser pointer, because we're getting hammered tomorrow, and they won't even want to go out to pee.
So funny how that happens. Being raised in landlocked states, you'd think we would be more fascinated by the expansive ocean. Stupid daily routines. *shakes head*
Get your puppies adorable little rain slickers! haha omg. Please do this and take pics. How long is it supposed to rain there? Apparently, it's dropping hell of snow further north. Making for some nice powder, and I bet the resorts are full up this weekend. ...i want to go skiing.
Yes! It was a little awkward, ngl, but it was also nice. I like that place. It's a rare exception to the offensive, general eye-rolliness that is Berkeley to me.
Still, being from flatlands, I am always amazed by topography, and I grin like a huge grinning thing when I can actually SEE the ocean!
The rain could last through Monday down here, but the sun's doing its best to push through the gloom, so perhaps we'll get a reprieve until sundown. Hee, they have cute little waterproof fleece coats that they wear when it rains (or when we go up to the snow), but we have yet to try hats on them, for all that I think they'd like not getting water on their heads. Oh well. Giovanni needs a bath anyway :D
