I'll allow him his underwear model phase. He's quite new at being a superstar, after all, and he needs to date someone like that in order to arrive at the conclusion that fame, underwear-modeling, and celebrity are empty things and settle down with a woman of substance.

His own sister recently said he wouldn't settle down with anyone who wasn't as intelligent as he is. Like 42 said, it's a phase; sometimes a lucky soul finds the right thing right off the bat, and sometimes s/he ends up with different kinds of the wrong sort before s/he knows exactly what s/he wants.

You know, I'm not convinced they're actually dating. They've known each other for years, apparently... I figure she's someone local who he knows and who is nice and probably relatively fun (and safe) to hang around with. There's ONE photograph of them together from the Globes party and they've probably been hanging out at industry events.

She just doesn't seem his type, honestly. If you look at Olivia (the long-term girlfriend), she's pretty but not model-like in looks or figure. I don't know why not, but I just can't see him being at all serious (or even 'with') someone who has posed naked for money. And who doesn't sound particularly brilliant. I just can't.

Thank you! They don't even match! Perhaps it really IS just a friend thing. He's down in LA for a while, needs friends/people to hang with. She's... an accepted standard of beauty. To some. Arm candy. (shallow though.)

But otherwise, yeah. What is going on there? It's entirely likely that I'm just a judgey, jealous, unreasonable cow (i am.) but. This is just silly to me.

I don't personally see the appeal. And that's not a jealousy comment. I can do that, too, but that's just an honest comment. I suspect he's hanging out with her as someone who is a friend who can accompany him to events. I think he loves living in London. Doesn't make a lot of sense to start dating someone who lives halfway around the world, right?

I don't really see it either, but i'm a bitter swf, SO. re: London - same. I had a moment of "Wait. She doesn't live IN London does she? Bc ...." Hmmm.

Judgey/jealous. Yeah. I get how ridiculous it is. Still, and as I said above - I can't help it. God help me. I'm not alone though, so that helps. :P
