I love JD and TB has made some wonderfully memorable movies, but I am starting to tire of all the TB goth-y remakes differentiated only by what bizarre hair/makeup JD is wearing and the laughable additions to the original (e.g. evil!Miranda Richardson and the exploding windmill in Sleepy Hollow, Willy Wonka's dental backstory, using Jabberwocky as a noun, etc.).

And I am highly suspicious of JD wanting to turn "The Thin Man" into a musical.

let us hope the acting and... a copious amount of shadows tones it down and sexes it up. i haven't lost faith yet! johnny is reportedly a huge fan of Frid's character, and considering how he does tend to obsess over these sorts of things (no, really), i'm betting he'll do the character justice.
