[ Iceland sets the controller down and averts his attention from the screen now that it's paused. The game really did a number on his eyes and his brain. Weird. He rubs his eyes a little bit more before grabbing the cushion tossed at him. ]

I dunno, it hasn't been too busy. Just weird.

[ He hesitates. He'd rather not stay the night at a new friend's house. It's... Awkward. But one look out the window and he forfeits to that awkwardness; it's heavy outside. ]

I'll stay until the storm lets up if you don't mind? I'll be quiet and take the couch--

[ --And if on an eerie sort a cue, a huge flash of lightning strikes and cuts out the game, the lights; everything electric. It's oddly dark for late afternoon, thanks to the stormy clouds blocking out the sun. Iceland looks to Hong Kong. Doesn't know what to do. It's his house, after all... ]

[everything goes suddenly dark and quiet, the lighthearted soundtrack of the game replaced by an eerie silence and all the lights illuminating the room dying out at once. Hong Kong looks around, surveying the room for a moment for any sign of electricity, pulse pounding from the suddenness of it all, but everything is dark.]

...looks like the power cut.

[no shit, Hong Kong]

[He shivers slightly, unsettled by the darkness, and the cold starting to creep up on him all of a sudden- no wonder, the heater died too. Biting his lip, he glances at the other. He longs to press close for warmth and comfort, but it's too intimate, too soon. Shivering again, he gets to his feet with a sigh, gazing around into the darkness.]

I'll go get some candles.

Yeah... Need me to come with? I know you don't really like the dark.

[ He doesn't wait for an answer, standing up. -- Wait. He 'knows'? How does he know? Was it just obvious because of Hong Kong's reputation for a place full of lights? ]

I... I mean I think you probably aren't fond of it... ...

[ Those shivers all all too obvious. Iceland is fine; this temperature is nothing. That said, the storm outside is making everything cold - And that'll catch up to even him soon enough. He feels sorry for the other... Wants to make him warm... But how? ]

A-Are you cold? Do you have any blankets you can use?

It's--

[His eyes widen briefly in the dark as the other remembers his dislike for it; or at least apparently. As he gazes at the other he's thankful for the darkness, when it hides a small smile he can't hold back]

...if you want.

[he shivers again, resisting the urge to wrap his arms around himself. Much as he wants warmth from the other, it's almost embarrassing to be so cold in a simple storm when Iceland's used to a winter climate]

I'm-- I'm fine.

[--sneezes.]
