[ Amelia eyes the beer, of course, but she doesn't say anything, feeling generous enough to give Arthur the benefit of the doubt for now- mostly because she's preoccupied with thinking about wrangling her typically uptight date into dancing with her. She fully intends to manipulate his more jealous tendencies to get him out there with her on the dance floor if she absolutely has to, but she'd prefer not to fight tonight.

She grins easily at him and raises her wine glass in a bit of a toast, then she does the utter most unlady-like thing she possibly can without making a mess; Amelia scoots her chair closer to Arthur's and snuggles up to him, picking at her meal without moving away from him. ]

It's not bad!

[ She can't help smirking. ]

Okay.

[ For a while, America leaves it at that, falling silent as she engrosses herself in her dinner. She lets Arthur get decently far in his own meal as well. Naturally, she finishes her burger before he finishes off his plate, and she turns back to invading his personal space while trying to get under his skin. Short attention spans never make good dinner companions. ]

So, do you prefer "Daddy"?

[England pauses before continuing eating, sure she isn't about to leave it there. But when all Amelia does is eat her burger quietly, he turns back to his own meal. Once the younger nation has finished and begins invading England's personal space again though, he feels his cheeks heat up and when she asks that he almost chokes on a bit of sausage. Get under his skin, indeed.]

No, I do not, you-

[He grabs a napkin and dabs his mouth before sitting back, abandoning his dinner, to scowl at Amelia, still flushing, to his own frustration, at the close contact.]

[ Amelia is positively delighted to find that her little stunts are producing such worthwhile results. She giggles, trying to contain her laughter just a tad, but it bubbles up from her belly and she can't stop it. He's so cute and funny to watch flustered, similar to how she finds her own England, and it fascinates her just as much as it amuses her- if not more so than. ]

I bet you do... Maybe not right now. Maybe not in public. But I think you do sometimes.

[ She leans up quick and presses a kiss to his chin, swiftly before he can stop her, then pulls away just as immediately, sliding out of her chair and bouncing to her feet. ]

I'll be right back! 'Gonna go sight-see while you finish your dinner! I won't be long!

[ And she starts speeding away. Mostly, she just wants him to stew in the aftermath alone, because she thinks it'll be conducive to what she wants. ]

[England scowls as Amelia begins to laugh, feeling his embarrassment multiply considerably in the face of her accusations, and he splutters over her, eyes widening:]

Th-that's preposterous! I'm not-

[He might very well do indeed, of course. But idea of Amelia even suspecting that is enough to horrify him completely and it clearly shows on his face.

Before he can get another word in edgeways, however, he feels her press her lips against his chin, and he doesn't get a chance to react at all before he's watching her leave. England stares after her for a moment, feeling his face flush hotly and sitting there with a dumbfounded and somewhat mortified expression. He shakes his head, looking away and clearing his throat, as he tries to shake off the feeling. Quickly, he leans over to take a couple of large gulps of his beer before going to finish his meal.]
