I love this episode! You are so freaking awesome. I never would have thought that anyone could incorporate the plot of one story so seamlessly into another. That was awesome.
Hm. I might do 'Out of Gas' if it fits in somewhere... but I've also got rewrites of TOS episodes lined up. I don't think I've even touched the second season yet.
I think you did Journey to Babel. That's second season. I would love to see you do the Gamesters, just because Spock has so much angst trying to find Jim. I love that.
I made very brief mention of 'Friday's Child,' but I don't think I've done 'Journey to Babel.' There would have been some intense Sarek and Spock conversations if I had.
'Gamesters' would be fun. I am definitely planning on doing 'Wolf in the Fold' (finally get a spotlight on Scotty), 'Immunity Syndrome,' and 'Tribbles' (who could resist). Actually, a rewrite of 'Little Girls' is coming up (spotlight on Chapel! And some complicated K/S moments), but that's first season.
I don't know what to do about 'Amok Time.' It's because of the timing--Spock's just too young right now, and I can't think of any reason to try and speed it up or something.
Yanno, I was reading this like "wow, it's sounds like an episode of Firefly. It sounds like an episode of Firefly" and then that line came and I was like "OMG WIN"
I loved this chapter, despite being oblivious to any and all Firefly references. There's clearly a message here, but outwith that it's just so wonderful stylistically...I love the dialogue at the start and how it grows within the context of the chapter. Beautifully done.
Your McCoy - his self awareness - yes! This is the McCoy we've neeeded all along.
And Jim at the end - 'he's my alien' - guh. Words cannot describe how this made me feel.
McCoy's one of my favorite characters. I wish I could bring him to the forefront more than I can. Writing in first person definitely has some disadvantages, since I haven't figured out a way to show the whole backstory I've built up about Leonard McCoy. Thus, it ends up coming out in giant speeches...
I love you XD The Firefly reference was great. That was one of my favorite episodes. Really well done. I do apologize for not commenting before, I'm not much of a commenter XD; I really do love this story. Ever since chapter 1, I've just adored it. I love how you portray the characters and the story is brilliant. I can't ask more then that. I can't wait to read future chapters :3
This story has absolutely consumed my free time (and not so free time.. i think I've skipped four workouts in a row to read). Its just.. yeah. im at a loss.
I had to stop to squee over the Firefly references. Thank you so much! It fit in so lovely with everything I've gotten to read in this arc.
