when you look at icon posts, do you like them to be

a) left justified, centered, right, or other?
b) in a colored table, non-colored, or no table?
c) in rows of 3, 4, 5, or other?
d) with numbers on the left, above, below, to the right, or none at all?
e) with the icon maker's thought blurbs to be at the top of the post, at the bottom of the post, or nonexistent?
f) with 3, 4, or 5 teaser icons above the cut, or a canvas, or other?
g) titled as "insertusername's 35th icon post," or does it not matter?
h) all in one particular style, or with a range of different techniques present in the one post?
i) arranged by fandom, style, color, challenge, or other?
j) tagged by fandom, character, etc?
k) <20 icons, 20-40 icons, 40-60 icons, 60-80 icons, or >80 icons?
l) anything else?

I don't give a crap as long as it's somewhat organized and behind a cut.

a) left or center
b) no table
c) rows of 5 (most important to me)
d) above
e) no preference
f) <7 teasers, not in a canvas
g) don't care
h) don't care
i) fandom, unless for a challenge where that doesn't make sense
j) tagged by fandom

a) left or centered
b) no table or non-colored
c) idc as long as it's not like 10+
d) left
e) idc, I rarely read them but they don't bother me
f) 3 or a canvas no bigger than 300px cause it breaks my flist layout otherwise
g) doesn't matter
h) either is fine
i) by fandom. always fandom.
j) tagged by fandom
k) idc
l) related to k - even if there's just 10 icons I'm cool with it but if they're the same fandom. if 10 tags will take me to the same entry, each just for one icon I will get tired of browsing the comm really quickly

a) left or center
b) no table
c) rows of 5 (easiest to count)
d) to the right
e) top or nonexistent
f) doesn't matter
g) doesn't matter, as long as the maker is consistent with their titles so when i shows up on my chrome lj extension i can tell what type of post it's going to be by the title
h) i like looking at posts with one cohesive style, it just looks neater to me. my posts are usually all over the place, though
i) fandom if i was led to the post by a crosspost, no preference if i watch the comm for the maker and not the fandoms
j) i never really look at the tags
k) 20-40 or 40-60. less is sad, more hurts my eyes or icons get lost and i don't care to look at each one
l) cut. always cut.

a) left.
b) non-colored, or no table.
c) in rows of 5.
d) with numbers on the left, or below.
e) nonexistent.
f) with 3 teaser individual icons above the cut.
g) doesn't matter.
h) all in one particular style, or with a range of different techniques present in the one post. doesn't matter.
i) arranged by fandom, preferably alphabetically.
j) tagged by fandom.
k) 20-40 icons.
l) I hate when people use the small or tiny or whatever it's called html tag on the text. It makes the text unreadable to me and I have to ctrl+ three times to get it big enough so I can read the text, which is annoying and the zoom makes the icons look ugly too. The excuse people use that it's to make the text take up less space is bullshit. 50 or 100 pixels less space does not even make a difference. It doesn't make the post look any prettier or cooler either. Leave the text alone.

i agree with L. especially now with lj's spoiler tag, there's no excuse.

For L, what if it's just extra unimportant information, stuff that you don't really need to know to enjoy the icons? I've done footnotes before and style-wise it makes sense to me to have it smaller.

DA but the same anon who replied to this thread

If we're talking footers as in "comment, credit, don't hotlink, blah yada boo" then personally I don't care if that is small size. What annoys me is fandoms being listed in small size or worse when people do all of their babbles in small font. maybe it's my fault for taking the time to read it all, but i like to! so if you're going to babble about what this batch meant to you, or why you did this or that with icons in hopes that people read it, just leave the font size alone :(

Oh, I'd never list fandoms in smaller size, but I do specific icon babble in smaller size at the end. I babble a bit about the icons on the top of my post (in normal size), then if there is anything particular about an icon that I want to note--most of them for my own purposes, really--then I do that in small size at the end of the post. Most of these are like if an icon placed somewhere, which no one really cares about.

It would bother me with all types of text. If I see that there's text anywhere in the post I would want to determine if it interests me. So if you write something ~unimportant in the smallest font known to man I would still need to zoom in to see what it is. If the font was the default I would not need to zoom, I would see that it it doesn't interest me and I could scroll past right away, instead of wasting my time and making the post and icons look ugly in the process, when I really didn't have to in the first place.

imo writing something unimportant that you know no one would be interested in, is not really necessary in the first place. Tbh I would not bother including it if I knew it was random extra stuff, wast of space.

As I mentioned above, I use it for my own notes, i.e. if I submitted it to a particular contest, if it placed, for IQ classes, etc. Such info wouldn't be important to whoever was looking, but it's good to know for myself.

I don't agree with it being a waste of space, the internet is huge, and it's not like a few lines at the end of an icon post makes a difference about whether or not something is above the fold or not. (It would be a different matter if it was at the start of the post, when yes, it would be good to have icons above the fold vs extraneous stuff.)
