Wow, I went back to my LJ page & saw it's almost 1/2 a year since my last post! I didn't even realize, & certainly didn't mean to go so long w/out posting. Just checked you're using the old version of the friends page.
I think it doesn't catch friends' entries older than 2 weeks, so that may be why "previous" and "next" are missing. Not that many entries that it's needed.
(Just leaving a comment since currently there seems to be something wrong with the visitor catching in general.)

Thanks. But I've been using the old version for a long time, &...wait, I think I get it. It's because I didn't check for so long, right? Although it seems to me I could go to "Previous" pages well before 2 weeks earlier in the old version until I came back to LJ after that long interval in November. Why would they change that, anyway? I'm not sure I understand your last sentence--"in general" on all of LJ? Just w/the old version?

And I'm wondering, are you someone I know? If so, where would I know you from?

It may be because you didn't check for so long, right.
Don't know how long you've been away, perhaps a few abandoned this place again since the last time you were here or they literally didn't write anything.
Coming from that, well, once in a while some things always might change here. If you stay away for a long time, you always may find a surprise here (good or bad)...
I also don't know since when the friends page only goes back the last two weeks, but I think like it's been that way quite a while, if not years (?).
The sentence in brackets was meant to say I had the impression like there currently is generally something wrong with the detection of visitors on lj. People come, but it seems like lj doesn't take notice or counts them. Today it seems like something has changed, but will have an eye on that.

No, probably I won't be someone you know.
