I need to sleep.

I have to catch a train in 6.5 hours.  But I'm completely awake.  Also hungry but if I eat, I will be awake longer.  It is indeed a conundrum.  At least I did laundry and am all packed?

I've been playing with my profile over the past few days.  It's not close to perfect given that the boxes and the header are jolted off alignment, but I can't quite ( Read more... )

excessively random, geekery so much geekery

Situations like that are the reason I want a Kindle.

I have been thinking the same thing ALL NIGHT. I want one so badly!

And I am sorry for leaving you on IM! My computer is being a jackass, and I'm trying to get it to behave so I can sleep.

I just checked Amazon to see if they had any Black Friday deals and the Kindles are sold out until after Christmas!

No worries. I understand computer issues. :)

Are you getting any specific error messages with your printer? Something like the print spooler, or some such? If not, may be uninstall and reinstall it and see if that fixes it.

No, which is the annoying part. It recognises that the printer is there, I can direct scanning and copying from my computer, but it's just being stubborn about printing. I gave up and figured I'd deal with it when I get home from Thanksgiving.

A smart idea. Who makes the printer, btw? Most of the manufacturers have troubleshooting steps on the website, as well as various diagnostics, drivers, firmware updates, manuals and other useful items. Well worth checking out since those sites have saved my bacon (and a few of my friends and family whom I've helped out) on several occasions.

Have a great Thanksgiving btw.

Thank you! It's...I have no idea. I am not at home anymore. I'll check on it. It really might have just needed a restart and I was too sleepy to do it.

I fully understand your book conundrum. And I packed 3 for just the next 2.5 days!

Your profile looks excellent to me. I am curious how people do these things, so I've clicked some of the links and I'm learning :-)

Hey - two questions came up reading your lovely profile:
- Did you read the other Sorcery and Cecelia books? I've read The Grand Tour but not the latest. I wasn't sure if I should, really, I was bit disappointed in the The Grand Tour.
- Do you really study Canadian stuff? Les Habitants (or are you a Montreal fan :-) )? Very cool.

And one *high five* (well, there were lots of high fives, but this one I wanted to make sure you receive for your courage);
- way to go, self-identifying as a socialist! :-) People often get the wrong idea about socialism. I rarely post anything political but want you to know I join you on the Left, in case you ever feel a little lonely there. :-)
