The Patriot...when the little girl tells her daddy that she'll say anything to him if he doesn't leave them (she hadn't spoken the whole movie until then).

Makes me think of my daddy.

Hmm... I haven't seen that one (I can hear you swearing at me right now!! *g*). That's the one with Heath Ledger and Mel Gibson, right?

Yep. That's the one! The little girl reminds me of Dakota Fanning, but I know that isn't who plays the part of the daughter.

Hmm... I saw that one but never cried. I had the lump in the throat going on, though. I was with my roommate and she was bawling like a baby...

totally cried like a baby when I saw "A Walk to Remember." Oh, and "The Green Mile".... I was sobbing.

which is weird because normally I don't cry at movies...

AWTR??? GAWD. That scene towards the end when they pan down to the church? Bawling my freaking EYES out. MAN. I also read the BOOK and cried then too!!

And same for me... I usually don't cry at movies.

The earliest I can remember was Artificial Intelligence, where it was hard not to since it was laid on so thick. One that I can remember right now is the end of Spartacus. It was just a combination of the different feelings the ending left you with and the music. Yeah, the music was what pushed me to that point. The end to the last Lord of the Rings movie made me cry partly because of the ending itself and because one of the lines hit close to me.

I have to admit, I take after my mom in this area. The first 2 movies I could think of were "The Notebook" & "A Walk to Remember." I also remember I cried at "Pay It Forward." Man, I'll be pondering this question all night.
