Tossed a few photos up on ye olde deviantart gallery. Nothing spectacular - a few from yesterday that turned out, and a nice one of Sabina from last week

Everyone I've known who's worked at Tim Horton's or a cafe or any other kind of place like that was miserable with it - the customers are apparently really rude for no good reason, which would just be extemely frustrating (and I don't want to pretend to be nice to people if they won't pretend to be nice to me). Also, I just don't like the idea of working with food. I'm not fond of smelling or feeling greasy - it just grosses me out.
So I'm mostly giving resumes to retail places so far (and video rental places).
Really? I worked in a cafe-ish place once... The customers were really nice for the most part... It was part of an office building complex and I worked during the afternoon, so maybe it was just that they were nice because they were on their lunch break and thus happy. Ah well. I suppose if you don't like working with food, that would be reason enough not to work there. I've heard retail is a bad line of work, so good luck with the video rental places.
Huh. Stories I've gotten about food service include things like people talking on their cellhpones while ordering or bitching to the person they're in line with how long the server is doing when the server is standing right there. Stuff of that nature. So I'm just not bothering to apply to places like that I guess unless I can't get hired anywhere else. Kind of hoping right now for the Rogers or EB in the Victoria plaza, because it's walking distance from both my houses.
