I've been a lazy blob this week in some ways, but insanely busy in others. The new job is sorted out. I'm starting at 8:30am on Monday morning. I asked what the office hours were and was told that everyone makes their own hours. So, I'm doing 8:30 to 5:00 initially and then may change them to suit myself and the consultant I'll be working with

What does it take to get licensed? Find out and do it! Six figures...wooohooo!

To get licensed I need to take and pass a six-hour-long exam. The company will give me the materials to study and answer any questions I may have. They even offered to pay for me to be licensed (which I imagine is not cheap). All I need to do is study and take the test, which I can totally do. I sometimes doubt my sanity, but I have never doubted my ability to pass a test of any kind.

I doubt that I'll be making six figures in West Virginia, but once I get the experience, there's really no reason why I couldn't get a job elsewhere doing the same thing. The firm has offices in several larger cities in the area, and they said they would be happy to transfer me, should there be a position in another office.
