Me + Drabbles = Writer's Block

Since I've been unable to write anything recently, I thought I'd try my hand at this meme from sunshade. You are supposed to let your music player randomly select songs for you and write a drabble for each song while that song is playing. Once the song is finished, you must stop writing. I can't do it. My problem isn't so much a lack of inspiration (

OMG I GENERALLY CANNOT WRITE DRABBLES EITHER. okay I tried writing a ~dirty story~ once and it took 3,000 words to set up the foreplay. Can't do it!

which is why I called that meme writing boot camp. It forces me outside my comfort zone.

Haha! That sounds like something I'd do! (The writing 3,000 words of foreplay.) The last fic I wrote, they didn't get around to the sexin' until the seventh chapter. And it was only eight chapters. I like to say that I just like UST. It's probably also because I can't make them have sex like bunnies right off the bat. I want to know *why* they want to have sex. I think too much.

I love drabbles, but you knew that. I rarely write very long things, but I do enjoy reading them, the longer the better. UST is one of my favorite things in a fic.

Reading drabbles is fine with me especially if they are as good as most of those on grangersnape100, it's like that quick espresso as opposed to a big mug of café au lait.
On the other hand I've developed a love-hate relationship with drabble writing. I've written a few because I thought it would be a good exercise, but none of the results have made me really happy, so unless a bunny is very insistent I don't know if I'll write any more. And I'm all with you on the sex thing, I want to know why they want to get involved as well, and how it all started, and what happens next, and... Right now I've the next three chapters for "Surprises" outlined and they don't even want to snog yet *sigh*

Oh, I'd love to read a new story from you, even if it's Draco/Hermione *gasp*, though I'll hope that somewhere a certain Potions master might show up, and convince Hermione that he's the better choice ;-)
