The Wire S4 and the strike

So I finally finished S1-4 of The Wire. Oh, show. It truly is the greatest show of all time. How is it that the last two episodes of every season completely rip your heart out? Season four is the worst with the KIDS. God, I could not stop crying and writhing on my bed at the tragedy of it all.

WIRE! Oh, show. I was surprised how much Bodie's death got to me. I was really upset about it, yet before that moment, I never considered him one of my favorite characters or anything. It's just like, I *knew* him. He was a real person, and now he's gone. BODIE! But NOTHING hit me harder than Stringer's death in s3. OH GOD!

And in conclusion: Omar.

PS. Now, one day, you must watch Homicide: Life On The Street (my all-time favorite show ever). It's got the same kind of writing.

I KNOW! I totally cried about it even knowing he shot Wallace and that I thought I didn't care about him. It's just I could feel his pain at this cold hearted world that he lived in where you can put up with some things but sometimes it was just too much.

Stringer :( I'm still depressed over that. Definitely the biggest whammie. I could not stop watching it and the scenes that led to it.

Omar! I love him.

I will! I have other shows I really have to catch up first but I will return to watch it most definitely.

I kept hearing great things about the wire, so I tried the first couple episodes but they didn't grab me. Hearing this though makes me want to go back and try again...does it get much better as it goes?

Well it can take awhile to get into as you have to be patient with it. It gets better when you're really into it and know who all the characters are and all their connections to each other. I would keep trying a few more episodes but if it really doesn't get you, I can understand stopping. I am glad you're trying/tried it!

I've already seen the first two episodes and really enjoyed it I know it's great. Dan and Casey are so cute together and I love Dana so I'm all good there :)
