A real update, finally

Mar 08, 2013 13:27

So I finally have time and the inclination to post here about some of the things I've been up to. The time thing is mostly because I'm not working at my job anymore. It wasn't working out on either end and I'm really looking forward to finding an in person, salaried job at a good company that can actually pay me decently. I was really overwhelmed ( Read more... )

Good luck on the job hunt! OMG stress.

So Bunhead gets better? I tried watching the first few episodes when it started but slowly faded out. It wasn't BAD, just not... really interesting? IDK. And Glee! That's another show that I've watched for years but slowly faded on this season. It just seems so different from the show it used to be. Kurt and Blaine broke up in the last episode that I saw, but then I saw promos where they're holding hands and singing to each other so are they back together now? I also heard about the Quinn/Santana thing, which, yes hot. But also, what? So random and I loved Santana/Brittany so I'm not sure how I feel about this new development. And Game of Thrones! Basically, this whole post is a list of shows that I either need to start watching or catch up on. So much TV, not enough time!

Thanks! I am trying to ignore the stress aspect and focus on doing things to help me towards the goal.

It does! It takes a little while to *get* who everyone is and what works and to develop storylines with real emotion. But the dialogue is soooo great and it satisfies that part of myself that desperately misses Gilmore Girls.

Yeah this season of Glee is just off from the last three seasons and even me, as a huge Glee supporter, is getting increasingly frustrated. They aren't back together but they sometimes hook up :) It's not entirely random, Quinn and Santana have a looong history so it works for me.

You can do itttt!! Just pick one and get started :)

I'm so glad the actress is wonderful in real life. I do wish Regina had some happy times between evil and anguish but when you're cast as an evil queen . . .

Fortunately, she's more than that. Kudos to the actress. :-)

ETA: Wait, you're watching Parenthood too? Which season are you on?

SHES NOT EVIL!!!! Argh I'm just so sick of that aspect of her character getting used to cause her more and more pain so she'll be more and more evil and give the "good" (hahahaha) characters something to fight against. Especially when you have Rumple who has basically set all this crap into motion and who still gets to be happy sometimes. Arghh. But yeah, Lana is AMAZING and adorable and lovable and sweet and just perfect and I love her :)

Yep! I'm only on S1, 104 or 5 or so. I have some major issues with the parenting but sometimes it makes me cry and I love Lauren Graham and Peter Krause so I'm keeping with it.

Love to hear that you had fun networking with other women programmers. That kind of stuff just makes me feel excited inside. Good luck with the job hunt!

It's so much fun! It's so great that just last year there was three of us and now we have like 12! It's pretty awesome to be a part of it.

Thanks!
