The Glee episode I've been waiting for!!! It both fulfilled and slightly disappointed for the obvious reasons:

loved burt hummel in this episode! i loved the gaga costumes, but i kind of felt like having idina menzel sing lady gaga was kind of a let down. rachel has one chance to sing with her mother like she's always dreamed, and she picks "poker face" ??? i know it was the "gaga episode" but they had idina menzel, who has this amazing voice, and i felt like they didn't use her. but i still thought it was a good episode. and they gave lines to matt and mike! so happy! :)

i can't believe you get to see them live, i am so jealous! :)

I disagree, I loved it! I mean, she did partly pick it because it was the only piano music she had since they were doing GaGa. But I loved their rendition of it and I thought it was amazing for them and the song DID let Idina use her great voice. I am biased because Poker Face is one of my favorite songs ever. To top it off, they sang I Dreamed a Dream last week together which yeah, not in RL but it still worked in a more Broadway way. Definitely happy about Burt and the lines though!

I know it'll be worth the money times a billion :) I'm sure they'll do it next year!

Only problem is is unlike the Madonna episode, there weren't enough GaGa songs :(
I felt kind of cheated, tbh. The costumes were awesome (including Rachel's horrible one, LOL "we have a jumper"), but this was just as much a KISS Episode as a Gaga Episode. Not a fan of the random dramatic Pokerface. WHY DID THEY NOT SING "PAPARAZZI"?

I just think an episode they peg as the GaGa episode should be ALL about GaGa with lots more songs from her. I do think there was more of a GaGa theme than KISS and I was okay with that song but the two others not so much. I'm guessing Paparazzi would be hard to fit in lyricwise...but then again, a Kurt song with that could have really worked with Finn and fit in with the storyline. Once again, it seems like it's a matter of their not being enough time.

It would've been more fitting for Rachel/Shelby than Pokerface IMO. Not *exactly* perfect, but parts of it could've been sweet.

The Pokerface duet was pretty... except it was Pokerface. Sung by a mother and daughter. About getting a guy horny xD It was awkward like that- feels like the episode of 30 rock where Jenna and her mom sing "Do it To Me One More Time." Except this was actually serious.

The Finn outfit killed me. Killed me dead.

See I didn't care about that besides it being kind of funny. I barely noticed the lyrics, Idina and Lea really carried it and made it meaningful in a deeper sort of way. I just loved it and think it's a great song to have in the episode in any way possible.

Me too!! Was not expecting that.
