het_reccing: spock/uhura

For those not watching that comm, I've posted my Spock/Uhura shipper manifesto and recs list to het_reccers. I hope I did a good job with it. I saw it as a chance to talk about what makes Spock/Uhura so great, and then to pick out stories that I thought illuminated those qualities really well

Yay to friends emailing links! I hope that means I managed to find some stories that people hadn't already read to death. :) Whee, accomplishment!

(I posted a link in the recs post of spock_uhura, and I wondered if I should do a dedicated post too, hmm. I guess I decided by not-deciding, oh well.)

I loved going back and rereading your stories, so I should really be thanking you. Thanks for writing them, they're so great!

(I know there are people signed up to do rec lists for pike/number one and sarek/amanda, and they're supposed to be posted by today so hopefully trek will be very well-represented on this het_reccers this time. I think boosette is doing pike/number one so I'm sure you'll hear about it.)

Yay! I was hoping to unearth some hidden gems along with the well-known things. Looking at a story like "Instruction" now and seeing it has just handful of comments makes me realize how many wonderful things probably fly under the radar. het_reccers is for reccing single stories, too--these ship manifestos/fic lists are more of a special event--so I hope the more people know about it, the more great stories will get recced there.

Thanks! It was great fun compiling the list, although like with any list as soon as I posted it I thought of more stories to include. Ah well, we can rec single stories any time so I'll just keep trying to catch up, hah!
