OMG- I can't believe you hav enot tried hot black tea with splashes of eggnog. It's the bomb, isn't it? ( I do Silk eggnog, whichis fake soy egg nog, but still. Yummy!)

Had braised kale with broiled salmon and whole rice bowtie pasta.

I know, I can't believe I never tried it either! It's so much simpler than making chai tea, and similar enough. I should try the Silk eggnog--I have a feeling I'm going to drinking a lot of it this year. :)

Yay, YoungSpock/Older Vulcan lady and Spock/McCoy! I echo your "ooh" on the YS/OVL pairing because, fascinating! I will be highly interested to read that when it's finished. There's something about YoungSpock that makes me want to read about him; all that intellect and logic and innocence and curiosity just kind of--um. I have a thing. *blushes*

(Your dinner sounds awesome, btw. I realized recently that food is one of the things I'm passionate about but haven't written about much, so one of my projects for December is to write out some of the dishes I make regularly. Especially dishes with whole grains because everyone needs more of them and as a culture we don't have a lot of "everyday" dishes that use them.)

Oh, that sounds very interesting! I'm looking forward to it.

Eeeee! *dances* *eggs on muse*

P.S.: I read the other comment thread and am now eagerly anticipating whole grain recipes. I actually eat a fair bit of brown rice (Basmati! totally awesome, recommend it), buckwheat, sorghum and occasionally quinoa and kiwicha but since I mostly prepare these in the totally basic way of "throw water and vegetable stock cube into pot and simmer on low heat until done", more variety would be awesome. :o)

Ooh, your list of whole grains sounds delightful! I love buckwheat--that's one of the recipes I plan to post soon. It's not commonly eaten here, except for some traditional Jewish recipes for Kasha that seem to be liked more for nostalgia than actual tastiness. I haven't eaten sorghum or kiwicha--now I'm v. curious what they're like. We get sorghum syrup as a sweetener but I haven't seen the whole grain ( ... )

Gonna comment on foodstuff later after I'm back from the supermarket but wanted to say on the most important issue:

Yay for getting to the almost-end of Sp/G story! \o/ \o/ \o/

In case you haven't worked out a way to end it yet, a thought: is it an option to have one of them initiate actual sex to end the talking? Or have someone interrupt the conversation (Sarek?!)?

I finished it! I figured something out, sort of. Good enough for a drabble, aka a little Cessna that needed to move off the runway so the Spock Epic Concorde can start taxiing. (Taxiing? LJ's not calling that a typo so maybe?)

Anyway, there's no interruption by Sarek (although I like the way you think!) but he does come up once. It's a mandatory minimum in my Spock Prime/Gaila stories now--at least one suggestive mention of a threesome with Sarek. :D
