Today's WriSoMiFu checkin suggestion was to describe the distinguishing characteristics of our writing. Since one of my WriSoMiFu goals is to write more about writing, I'm reposting it here.

Five ways you can tell you're reading a fic by anodyna: )

Dvd commentary; DO IT. Hahaha only if you want to but no seriously do it, I would be v interested to read it. Are you keeping it under wraps or can I ask about this thing you are currently writing?

I totally want to do commentary! I think because I'm such a thinky writer, the whole time I'm writing I'm imagining the reader and what effect this or that choice of words will have, and hoping they'll like an image, or they'll cry where I did. My secret burning wish is for someone to let me tell them all about how I wrote Like the Stars, Like Your Destiny, because it's my first big project and I labored over it like I was re-making the Bayeux Tapestry. :D

What I'm currently working on: Not under wraps! Just in progress at a glacial pace. It's a Spock-POV companion to Like the Stars, covering a similar period of time but focused on his experience and issues and personal struggle. Where Nyota's story was kind of held together by themes of language, and destiny, and the path of the Kelvin's influence though her life, Spock's is about his dual nature and how he tries to make it fit together ( ... )
