Oh Gaila. That was absolutely delightful! She's like this burst of energy and color across a neutral background. I chortled all the way through. And that last scene was amazing... I've reread it twice now and I'm still not sure who was seducing whom! Very very well done!

YAY! I had to do it. There was no way I could leave it alone once the image of Gaila among the Vulcans came to me.

I'm laughing at myself, too, because I just realized that when I thought of this idea I thought it was so scandalous--but the act of writing this neutralized all the scandal factor for me. They seem like the most natural pairing in the world to me, now. How does that happen???

So much win I dunno where to start. I wrote a very tiny piece where Gaila wakes up injured and talks to Spock Prime, so this totally fits with my personal canon, too, and it makes me happy.

Plus, the spirited defense slays me. Also the threesome in her head. Also the way he smiles before disapproving Vulcans (whom I naturally envision as disapproving rabbits whic is just that much funnier). Also the sunbathing, the disregard for plomeek soup, the consideration of how things would have been the Orion way, the way she talks about nu!Spock's sex life (which--I love that Spock Prime has to be sort of o.O about but he doesn't object but not in a voyeur way or even a humoring her way, just, he realizes it's her way to be so direct like this). Also, the Vulcan lexicon bit yay, and I could just keep going. In short, ♥.

Thank you so much! It's always thrilling to get feedback that mentions specific things people like, so extra thank you for that! This was so fun to conceive of an write--I'm delighted that you enjoyed it, too.

OMG, hah! I don't know where you got that image, but it's hysterical. All the Vulcans, wide-eyed and frozen, ears twitching. Hee!

Hee! Google "disapproving rabbits" if you're not familiar. Basically, you should get a website full of photos of rabbits, which pretty much always look like they aren't so sure you're on the up-and-up. ;)

This was just wonderful. I love your Gaila and Spock!Prime. Perfect interactions and situations.

The mutual oblivious intentional seduction was just fantastic.

I can't tell you how much love I have for this. Spock!Prime/Gaila maybe my new het OTP

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I had no idea how much I would love these two together until I wrote this. Now they're one of my OTPs, too. :)

You made this pairing work in a way I could not have imagined possible. I think Gaila/Spock!Prime is my new OTP. : ) Seriously, I love this playful, intelligent, blunt, doesn't-take-herself-too-seriously-Gaila. Honestly, I think is my absolute favorite characterization of her. All the characters are IC and awesome.

I hope you write more of this pairing, or at the very least a sequel. :D

Thank you so much. I wouldn't have thought it was possible, either--when I first had the idea my reaction was basically "OMG, am pervert!" But somehow the characters convinced me they wanted to be together. And then it just fun to write them. :)
