Uh oh you guys, I got TunnelBear. BBC iPlayer, you are mine! Therefore so are the Olympics, in non-ridiculous format, and including sports I'm suddenly curious about after glimpsing them yesterday. Dudes in canoes slaloming down artificial rapids, what what? So many interesting sports that don't get broadcast because Americans aren't the stars ( Read more... )

I know, right? We watched the archery finals with glee...and omg the scandal in badminton, who knew? There's even a 3D channel (if one's cable provider offers it). Enjoy!

I want this TunnelBear!

Good to know the Beeb are doing a better job at broadcasting than here or in the states. I feel like it's all swimming and diving and running and shit. Give me weird sports, Olympics! I love watching sports that normally never get tv coverage, and declaring myself an expert on them after an hour.

Also Judo? It's just lots of hugging, and somehow someone keeps score.

Oh man, dude, you have to do this! It's so easy and it totally solves the problem of not being able to access certain content because you're not in the US or UK. The BBC iPlayer! IDK if you guys get BBC content quicker than we do, but it takes ages and ages to get here and by then I'm spoiled by Tumblr. And you could download the free music that you can never get because you're not in the US! IT IS AMAZEBALLS.

9 Network (the Aussie network broadcasting the Olympics on free to air telly) last night showed the men's TRAMPOLINE event. Not an Australian in sight. So maybe their coverage isn't as bad as I'd originally thought. Trampoline. It's an Olympic event. I used to do that shit in my backyard with my brother and sister and the dog. So there you go.

Will still be getting the TunnelBear though.
