I need an icon that looks like this: O_O

My husband inherited a pretty clock from his grandparents, which we've had in storage for years waiting to get it serviced and hung up. Today the clock guys came and installed it in the dining room, right outside my workroom.

IT'S TICKING!!!!!!!!! O_O

How did I forget ticking? Garh!

my tragic existence

Hee! My parents have a brilliant clock with the loudest chimes known to mankind, except we are all so used to it we never hear it. I remember having people round to dinner and being surprised when they would suddenly stop talking for no discernable reason, only to realised it was because, oh yeah, the clock is chiming. Meanwhile they are wondering what just exploded next to their ears!

You'll get used to your clock, no worries.

Hah! I don't know if we can do the bonging with this clock--it's also quite loud, even with the bell slightly taped to muffle it. I didn't hear the 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. bells last night, but 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 were definitely quite assertive. The chimes are on their own weight so in theory we could just opt not to wind them, but they are kind of sweet during the day...oh clock, what will we do with you?

Tick tick tick tick! It's kind of a shock, isn't it? My parents. Have a ship's clock they got in Scotland, and when I was a kid it used to ding every 15 minutes But then it was broken for like 20 years. Then when I went home for Thanksgiving this year... tick tick. Whoah.

I hope you're able to get used to it!
