I had the thought to offer a snippet from my current WIP today, but after running around doing Other Things all day I'm looking at it and I can't decide on one snippet that seems finished enough to share. It all looks like gibberish to me. Maybe I should make Sunday my "snippet from WIP day" instead

Spock Prime/Gaila!

Haha, I am hilariously bad at being prompt with memes! My little five-sentence fic decided to be longer and to not be finished yet so I'm jumping ahead of it to tell you five things from my head-canon about Spock Prime/Gaila:

1. Everyone on the Vulcan colony knows about them, but no one will admit it to their faces. The closest they come is some awkward shuffling when Spock refuses to be assigned a mate during his pon farr2. People don't realize how well Gaila speaks Vulcan. She gets to overhear all the best gossip because Vulcans assume she can't understand what they're saying

I'm not sure why but #5 totally brought tears to my eyes. OH SPOCK PRIME AND GAILA HOW SO WONDERFUL? ♥

Oh my god, it kind of did to me, too. I love writing scenes between them where they start getting into that kind of very intimate conversation, because--so touching, why? Maybe because they've both been through so much, but they're still ready to see what comes next. Oh, Spock Prime and Gaila! ♥

They would be so cute! And Spock and Nyota's kids would be their kind of half-sibling cousins and they'd all be supernaturally intelligent and gang up on their parents. And possibly solve crimes. Why does this not exist?
