I had the thought to offer a snippet from my current WIP today, but after running around doing Other Things all day I'm looking at it and I can't decide on one snippet that seems finished enough to share. Haha, I am hilariously bad at being prompt with memes! My little five-sentence fic decided to be longer and to not be finished yet so I'm jumping ahead of it to tell you five things from my head-canon about Spock Prime/Gaila:

(♥ ♥ ♥ for choosing them, btw. Pairing of my heart!)

1. Everyone on the Vulcan colony knows about them, but no one will admit it to their faces. The closest they come is some awkward shuffling when Spock refuses to be assigned a mate during his pon farr2. People don't realize how well Gaila speaks Vulcan. She gets to overhear all the best gossip because Vulcans assume she can't understand what they're saying ( ... )

Oh my god, it kind of did to me, too. I love writing scenes between them where they start getting into that kind of very intimate conversation, because--so touching, why? Maybe because they've both been through so much, but they're still ready to see what comes next. Oh, Spock Prime and Gaila! ♥

You know, I've thought and thought, and I don't think I have head-canon for Dru. My canon for her is pretty much what we saw. I sometimes wonder how she felt about turning a nice nerdy poet into a vampire and having him turn around and adopt a hooligan personality, but then I think, she thought Angelus was pretty hot so she probably didn't mind. And she liked that slime-antler demon so--not picky?

I may spring a several-sentence fic on you once I've given her some more thought, though. Maybe for one of our upcoming holidays. :)
