So here I am, all ready to replay Mass Effect in preparation for Mass Effect 2. I have it downloaded from Steam and everything. I go to launch it. I design a new Shepard. Then, in the first scene, it hangs on me, and ever since then this is what I've gotten when I try to launch the game:

Weeeeell I know someone who says she was thinking about selling her Simon coat? You can see it over here.

She says it's kind of pricey, though, because it's hand-stitched with vinyl outside and lining inside (and I've seen it and it really is very nice). She adds, "the pimpin collar even stays stiff." It'd go for about $120, if you're interested.

$120 is pretty much the upper limit of what I'd consider, but I'd think about it.

I saw a reference in particular to making sure that UAC was disabled when installing it and running it for the first time if you're using Vista (and presumably 7). I still use XP so I am only vaguely aware of what that means, mind.

Hmmm. I run XP too, not Vista, so presumably it's something else. But I'll poke around the forums and see what I can find.
