A really good source for images are the *booru boards. I usually use Safebooru because it filters out all the NSFW stuff. There's also Danbooru and Gelbooru without the NSFW filters.
The easiest way to search for official artwork is with the 'scan' tag, which is everything scanned in from posters, magazines, and the like. So you'd type in the search box 'gundam_00 scan' to get all the Gundam 00 ones. Likewise 'macross_frontier scan' and 'tengen_toppa_gurren-lagann scan' and so on.
I'm mostly hoping to get some of the more obscure stuff--like chibi comics--which I'd spent a while hunting down in the first place. But those boards should be good for pulling up the basics, at least.
