My father has the History channel on, and they just showed the most surreal ad for a new show.

It was a series of dramatic shots of toothy dinosaur mouths and splashes of blood, capped off with the following text:

JURASSIC FIGHT CLUB

I can't make this shit up.

In other news, I read the first volume of Y: The Last Man. It hasn't completely made ( Read more... )

I know.

I just saw another ad for it. This one trumpeted the first episode and featured a MALE VS. FEMALE battle of CGI dinosaurs.

I SAW A COMMERCIAL FOR THAT. Great show, or greatest show?

In all seriousness, it was clearly created when one of the History Channel's staff decided that "Wow, all this educational stuff is boring. Can't we just... HAVE CGI DINOSAURS FIGHTING TO THE DEATH?! You know, like Fight Club. But with dinosaurs."

It does look amazing. But I'm worried that it may be like the equivalent of porn mixed with heroin to seven-year-old boys. I mean, dinosaurs fighting. Seriously!

I saw a commercial for that. I love dinosaurs, but it looks really... cheesy.

In other news, Scifi channel started airing Gurren-Lagann last night! The dub is pretty good.

It, uh, really is. I just caught a bit of it on TV now and...errr. They were talking about carnivore mating habits. Yeah.

OMG I SAW THE SAME FUCKING THING!

I was flipping by and was like, "Really? No shit." Haha. I simply HAD to pause and watch for a moment. I mean, I'm a pretty regular History channel viewer, but I can't get it in my room any more (woe!) so I was watching it at my brother's house. x)
