The next man (or, hell, woman, because it happens) to comment on some complaint about the constant sexualization (it is too a word, Firefox) and objectification of women in society with something to the effect of, "Men have the same problem, so stop complaining!" will feel my wrath. Ugh.
Yeah, gender stereotypes affect both genders. Doy. However, the correct response to pointing out objectification of women is not and will never be "men get it too!11!!".
Seriously. If you're going to waste your breathe putting that excuse into words, and you honestly believe objectification is wrong, go and oppose sexism, not feminism and critical thinking.

It's just an excuse for attempting to shut up the people who actually care. :/

At least men are encouraged to get pyshically fit (six-pack and all), while girls strave themselves to get thin.

You know, even if you do accept that men are sexualized and objectified to the same degree as women (which, I agree, is a bit ludicrous a contention), surely this makes it more of a problem, rather than less.

Yup. Men are pressured to be (society's definition of) useful and look it, which can be stressful, sure; societal pressures on everyone tend to be. But women are pressured to be useful and look decoratively useless (which ties into my blog rant a little while back about the stated attractiveness of women in the workplace). And that way lies head-explody.
