Hmm, the Wire--there is a small fandom that I've glanced at over on the TwoP forums, but I've only really looked at a few threads (mostly Omar-related, unsurprisingly), so...
1) Omar is not perfect; he has very significant flaws.
2) Stringer Bell's character arc ended exactly as it should have, as it needed to.
3) Brandon wasn't the ~*~love of his life~*~ to Omar because of anything all that special about him, but rather because Omar is bad at coping with his negative feelings (grief in this case) and is simply unlikely to open up again for a very long time.
4) I rarely have much of a problem with McNulty's accent.

Oh yeah, forgot to list my Unpopular Fandom Opinions On Ichigo/Rukia.

a) After over 250 chapters of them foregoing every possible chance to have romantic or sexual tension, I have trouble seeing it as a romantic relationship in canon. AUs--or a fanfic situation where they undergo dramatic changes in their life--are another story.
b) Ichigo and Rukia are very important to each other, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they have to be true destined lovers.
c) The age difference does not mean that it is sick and wrong and Rukia could never ever be attracted to Ichigo because omg he's like her grandkid.

Passport bureaucrats are backed up out their ears because of the godawful stupid requirement for passports to drive into Canada at the end of the year. It may possibly get dealt with inside ten weeks of receipt. If it's simple. (Harassing a Congressperson is rumored to help.) But everything related to them is taking longer than usual -- so get it in fast!

Let me second this motion! I had a meeting today with some other music teachers, and one of them has been waiting for her passport since March. No problems with it...the system is just -that- slow. She was told it's 12-16 weeks.

I'm not sure what exactly needs to be done with our passports; we have them, we just need to get updated pictures or something? Gah. I'll look into it. Mumblemumblestupidsystem.

The cheapest (also slowest) way is to pick up a renew by mail form at the post office then go to someplace like Walgreens to get your picture done. Faster method is probably to go directly to the post office and pay for everything there. I don't know what the wait time is like though.
