I. afjdslk. I'm only just through the introductions and the first arc, and already my IchiHime essay is over 2,000 words. The limit is 5,000. I am going to have to do some cutting. D: Never again will I choose a leading couple for ship_manifesto. Well, except maybe Allen/Rinali. But I think I'll try again for Temari/Shikamaru next. Assuming I can get this one

But I've been watching three to five episodes daily. My brain, it is imploding.

1) speaking of IchiHime, why does the fandom have such hate for it? :(

2) Yeah Kakashi meta!

One thing I see a lot is he's good at connecting with people (in KakaIru fics mostly) when... He's really not. Look at his relationship with Sakura and Naruto. Sasuke is exception, not the rule. And even then, he has trouble really being able to reach him, unlike with Sakura who seems to reach him natrually and Naruto who's... Naruto.

3) Where are you stalled on it?

1) Because IchiRuki fans are stubborn and IshiHime fans are rabid. :(

2) Kakashi is good at understanding what's going on in people's heads--most of the time (he has blind spots, as with Sakura). He's not good at actually connecting with people. WTF, KakaIru fandom actually thinks he is? Craaaazy.

3) Just as Sakura's showing up.

1) And most of the fandom seems to think IchiRuki is going to happen, even if they don't ship it. O.o since, y'know, KT keeps drilling that Ichigo needs both of them, and the bond with Orihime is romanctic. And playing up RukiHime subtext because he loves his lesbians.

Then there are some IchiHime fans who don't think that Ichigo and Rukia need each other.

The only good thing I can say, is they don't annoy me as much as team seven, when it's very much in your face how much they need each other.

2) Yes. A lot of the time Kakashi likes to woo Iruka. Or is a sex god. Or is a pervet. That last one bugs me, since he hasn't been shown to be overly interested in sex.

And it'd be IruKaka. Sadly, the ship bores me to tears. My Kakashi crack ship is KakaKabu.

3) Want to post a snip or something so I can try and help?

1) I don't get it. I thought IchiRuki would be the canon pairing for a while, but when Ichigo showed no interest in stopping her from staying in Soul Society, and after all that they didn't have some big romantic kiss scene or anything--I figured that it wasn't going to be romantic in canon. If it were, there'd have been some hint of, you know, romance instead of just mutual partnership and need

Just shows there are a lot more things to write about it than first realised. Don't stresss though! :) Keep watching good/bad reruns! :P
