Well, Hitsugaya is love, so it is a reasonable assumption to make. At least until you start squealing over how Shiro-chan is YOURS and that bitch Hinamori needs to DIE for getting between you and him etc etc etc.

Ed is my favorite FMA character as well, but I stay away from the fandom, in general. I wonder if I'm like them - but I happen to love the canon romances for them (or in the manga, Ed/Winry doesn't do much for me in the anime, and I sort of liked Al/Winry in the anime better).

What gets me about it is that it seems to be particularly prevalent in Ed's and Hitsugaya's fandoms. Sure, there are a few Sasuke fangirls who want him all to themselves and therefore bash Sakura, but it's not nearly as prevalent as it is with either of those two characters. I wonder if there are any other characters with similar issues in their fandoms?

Gah, there were some Seto Kaiba fan girls, but Seto never had a love interest, but they were pretty scary. Several Yami no Yuugi ones who wanted to kill off Anzu. Scary Snape fangirls bash Harry for starting the hate between them (O.o.) Several bash Sirius and James, which I make sense, at least, as much as bashing does.

Some want Sakura to die, but they tend to be SasuNaru fan girls. Same for Heero/Duo in the Relena fandom (man, that stuff is scary, there was one minap of a cow raping Relena. *shutters*) Seifer/Squall fans bash Rinoa.

I can think of others, Like Gohan fan girls who bash Videl, or Vegeta fans who bash Bulma, etc, but I haven't seen any as bad as in the in Ed's and Hitsugaya's fandoms. Good think there isn't a 'Roy' for Hitsugaya, or else it'd be worse.

I don't really get Hitsugaya's popularity. I mean, don't get me wrong, I fucking love the guy. I guess I just don't understand the extent of his popularity. But--second behind Ichigo? WTF? When I saw that Omake, I was really surprised.

Hinamori is SO MUCH LOVE. She's so devoted to Aizen, it's really unhealthy. And I'm sure it eats Hitsugaya alive to see her destroying herself. FDKLJFFDSK I love HitsuHina! ♥

Yeah, that's sort of how I feel too. He's a cool character, but wow, overkill much?

And I adore HitsuHina for those reasons--the feelins they bring out in each other, the deep devotion Hitsugaya has for her, the fact that even if Hitsugaya is in love with her he doesn't think of it that way--they've got so far to go before they can even think of having a healthy relationship.

But in a century or so, Hitsugaya will be all hot and Hinamori will be ready for him! :D
