Edit: What I mean to say is, not that I haven't been tossing around as a crack theory for a while now, and not that I'm not thrilled to see a stern reminder that Kakashi is still badass, but I don't think Kishimoto has any idea how hard he makes it on the people who still defend him. :(

Like I said, I'm still not caught up, I'm just reading spoilers.

And in principle, I don't actually mind that much--I've been speculating about it for some time now, I just didn't believe it would make sense in the canon.

And I still don't know if Kishimoto can make it make sense.

It's just--I'm already tired of having to defend Naruto when everyone's all OH IT SUX NOW, and now Kishimoto pulls THIS out of his ass augh dammit.
