Harry had been surprised to find a note on his front porch when he came home. He was even more surprised when he noticed it came from Dumbledore. Dumbledore was in Annwn? Of course, that was not impossible, but Harry found it strange that he hadn't run in to him before. He would've liked a word with him, maybe. But then again, he would probably find himself without anything to say; or at least, anything that really mattered anymore.

He shook his head, re-read the note. It was clearly addressed to more people and Harry guessed it would have been sent out to the entire Order of the Phoenix. He decided it best to attend this little meeting. Crumpling the parchment, he stuffed the note in his pocket, turning on his heel and taking off in the direction of Pendragon Park.

Arriving there, he looked around, wondering if anyone else would be here already. Nervous, without really knowing why, he walked up to the front door and gave it a sharp knock.

Albus had been pacing in his living room when the knock came at the door. Fawkes had returned with two of the notes undelivered - the ones to Charlie Weasley and Severus Snape - and he was terribly worried. While it was entirely possible that both men had decided that this was not something they wished to do anymore, he was sure both would have sent a note in reply saying such. Certainly Severus would have and the reply would likely have been very pithy and quite possibly rude. Had they both been taken? He just didn't know.

He shook his head to clear it a little and walked out of the living room and down to the front door. He opened at and smiled when he saw who was on his doorstep.

"Harry, my dear boy, welcome," he said both very pleased to see the young man and a touch regretful that Harry had been drawn into Annwn. The young man deserved a little peace after all he'd been through, not to be thrown into more turmoil. "Do come in. You are the first to arrive."

He stepped back then gestured for Harry to go into the living room.

"Hello, Professor." Harry quietly greeted him with a small nod. He didn't really know what else to say to him. Of course, everyone seemed to be in a bit of a tense mood today, but Harry didn't think that would give him a decent reason to start snapping at Dumbledore. On one hand, he would love some answers, but on the other hand, Harry's worries about Ginny were much more important to him now.

Entering the house, Harry sauntered into the living room, his hands digging into his pockets as he looked around the room. Not waiting for an invitation, he plopped himself down in an armchair, rubbing his eyes under his glasses. At this moment, he wasn't very interested in courteous and polite behaviour. All he wanted was Ginny back.

Katie had left the scene at the square. Taking a child was beyond monstrous. She sat on her sofa, Bludger at her feet and gnawed on the end of her quill, staring at the riddle. "Bollocks," she muttered, frustrated that she hadn't decoded it or found the connection. Bludger whimpered and she absently petted him on the head ( ... )

When he received the message that the Order was meeting, George was eager because they were finally doing something. It was surprising to see the Headmaster's familiar scrawl on the parchment and wondered how long Dumbledore had been in town and why he hadn't come by. But the Professor had always worked in mysterious ways, so it wasn't really George's place to question ( ... )

“We should,” Fred agreed and began digging through his pocket. It was odd what a small thing like an old Galleon could do. There was a lump in his throat at the thought of little Victoire with someone or something unknown and unworthy of her, and more than anything, he wanted Ginny and Merope back where he could keep an eye on them, keep them safe. Yet this Galleon, the fact that he was holding it in his hand meant that he could reach people. Theoretically at least. It was proof that something was being done, instead of just standing by idly.

“Do you think people still have it, or should they be Owled, you think?” He glanced over at Dumbledore. “We should probably let the old codger know as well.”

He pulled out his copy of the riddle again, smoothing the edges before he began to read. Some didn't make any sense at all while some were easy to make out. He could figure out his family and had hints at a few others but there were a few he didn't understand at all. But one in particular stood out for George and as he read the line over and over, he felt he was getting closer to finding out one more person who was missing.

George knew it ws really a bassackwards way of doing things but they were desperate and everything they could find would help. His mind went over the parameters of the verse, trying to find a person who connected with both conditions of the line.

A young woman, her first love taken and mother beyond the veil, her heart did turn blue.He went through every girl he knew who'd lost someone and then paired down an extensive list in his mind. George continued to work the riddle in his mind and frowned as he considered the woman who'd lost their first loves. Only a few came to mind and when he was sure about a name ( ... )

”Hm?” Fred stopped his watching of people in the room when George asked him a question. It took him a moment to get back on track and recall what George had asked him.

“Yeah, she was,” he said and nodded, “she went with him to the Yule Ball, remember?” For a moment he looked at the piece of parchment George was holding, recalling the talk he and Cho had had back at the Winter Festival. “I think they were pretty close,” he mused aloud, “she wanted to know if he had gotten here yet, and when I told her I hadn’t seen him…” he sighed and shook his head slowly. “You should have seen her face, George. She was so sad.”

Bill didn't want to be here. He wanted to be out looking for his daughter along with the others who were missing. But he understood that he'd need help, even if he didn't want it. The Order had been part of his life for so long and as he and Fleur walked into the room where everyone was gathered, he felt a certain comfort in the fact that the Order members were gathered. But there was a certain surreal feel to the fact that there were members of the First Order here who had passed long ago ( ... )

"I do not wish to be 'ere," Fleur murmured under her breath, hoping only her husband could hear her. "I want to be 'ome, in bed, with Victoire between us." Fleur's eyes started tearing up again. It seemed she had been crying for almost two days straight. Well, she had been crying for two days straight.

Her bones froze when she thought of Victoire and how frightened her little angel must be. Fleur wiped her eyes with the edge of a lace handkerchief.

"Can we please go 'ome, Bill? I want to go 'ome."

"I want to be home too." Bill said soothingly, wrapping his arm around her before leaning close to her ear. "But we have to solve this thing, Fleur. It's our only hope to get our daughter back and you and I spent the last few hours pouring over the riddle and we couldn't solve it." He was frustrated. Normally, he was good at puzzles, after all, he was a Cursebreaker. But he couldn't focus, not with his daughter missing. He needed time.

"We need to do something though. This meeting needs to start." He growled, keeping his voice low so only his wife could hear. "This isn't going to work. This meeting to determine everything, this pace. This isn't like the war. They took Victoire and the others so quickly, without us knowing." He shivered slightly, then steeled. "They're so powerful here. This is going to be a different kind of battle."

Sirius arrived later than he had intended; he had received Fawkes's message not long after arriving home from checking Regulus's flat. However, he hadn't left right away; he had stayed behind and waited to see if his brother would send him an owl or a message via Patronus. Neither had arrived. He was trying not to let it bother him, but...it was strange not to hear from Regulus right away. Not at all like his brother.

But he figured he should go to the Order meeting; not only could he check to see if anyone else he knew had been taken, but with that many people there, it would be a lot easier for everyone to come up with a solution to the riddle. If they all put their heads together, it would be much easier than each of them fumbling blindly for answers by themselves.
