Date: January 24th, 2003 - Early afternoon Character(s): Theodore Nott & Daphne Location: Streets of Annwn Status: Public Summary: Nott tries to understand where he is, meets someone Completion: Incomplete
A little more than a week after her last visit to Annwn, Daphne was back again. She couldn't explain exactly what had drawn her back here, but she assumed it was a good sign. After all, she wanted to move out of downtown London and Annwn fit the 'peaceful community' requirement she'd been looking for.
At the moment, she was going to inquire about renting a flat. If she liked living in Annwn well enough after a couple of months, she'd look into having a house built. If she didn't like it...then she'd simply move. That was all there was to it.
Looking ahead, she thought one young wizard in the street looked familiar. Approaching, she found out that she was right. It was Theodore Nott, a fellow Slytherin from her year.
At the sound of her voice, Nott recognized her. He half-smiled, carefully hiding how happy he was to see someone he knew. Questions ran through his mind, but he couldn't resist his upbringing.
"Hello, beautiful. How are you?" He grinned, focusing on her rather than the new scenery around him. He had been aware he had been more disheveled than usual, but his relief at seeing someone familiar clouded his mind.
Daphne's cheeks tinged ever so slightly pink at that. Compliments sometimes did that - especially when they were compliments to her appearance. Daphne was less shy around people she knew, but some of it always remained. Still, she smiled. It was good to see an old schoolmate. He looked like he'd either just woken up or been through a particularly rough portkey trip, but Daphne opted not to comment on his disheveled appearance. It wasn't polite, after all.
"Doing quite well, thank you. My career as a Healer has been quite successful so far. How have you been lately?"
"A healer? I could see that about you." He smiled wide, before answering her question. "I've actually been pretty well, though," he chuckled, "I seem to be a little lost. I'm not quite sure where exactly this is."
He didn't want his confusion to seem distressed, and for the most part, being with someone he knew now, he wasn't. Still, he did feel a bit confused. He silently cursed the brunette now, good-looking or not.
