Mungo ushered out Mrs Brown - who had come in claiming him that her cat was stealing her breath at night and leaving her short of breath - with an admonishment to take her heart potion and glanced at the next file.

"Mrs Dunstan?" he called, looking out over the waiting room.

Barr looked up and smiled when she saw the friendly face of Healer Bonham. “Miss Dunstan,” she corrected him gently, “but please, call me Barr.”

With a smile she extended her hand to him. “Healer Bonham, it’s an honour to meet you.”

"It's a pleasure to meet you, too, Barr," Mungo said, shaking her hand. He felt a twinge of the old embarassment, but he managed to tamp it down and not react. "And, please, call me Mungo. Please, into my office."

He stepped aside to let her by and motioned toward the door.

Barr smiled with a nod and followed Healer Bonham’s lead, stepping into his office. She tried, she really did, but the minute she was inside she couldn’t help but look around to see how this legendary Healer had decorated and planned his office.

“I uhm…” Why was it she had come here again? Suddenly she felt like a little girl, meeting the idol she had looked up to for so many years. No, she couldn’t do that now. If she was to get anywhere with her plans, she had to act her age and profession.

“I uhm,” she let her shoulder bag slide from her shoulder and onto her lap as she took a seat. “I came here to see if you would look into taking on either an assistant or a partner.”
