Parvati wanted very badly to go to Hermione's party, to see her and other people she hadn't seen since school, and she knew she needed to start getting out again. But a party, with potentially the entire town there, just made her feel sick. Worse, she knew this was the sort of thing that before, she never would have passed up. When would her life get back to normal? Could it?

Picking up a quill to respond, she wondered what to tell Hermione to explain her absence.

Hermione,

I'd love to come, but I can't. I'm working on opening up a club in town, and it's got me swamped. Imagine that, Parvati the responsible adult. Weird, huh?
